The DC Investment Forum (DCIF) today announces its Chair and Vice Chair for 2018.
Annabel Tonry is the group’s new Chair. Tonry is a client and consultant adviser in the UK defined contribution (DC) team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
Vivek Roy is the forum’s Vice Chair. He leads AXA Investment Managers’ global pensions business development projects.
The DCIF is an industry body made up of investment managers who are committed to promoting investment excellence in DC. Tonry and Roy will sit on the DCIF’s board and oversee the group’s strategy and research projects. They will remain in their roles until the end of 2018.
The news comes at the start of an exciting year for the DCIF, with a large-scale research project on responsible investment planned for launch at the group’s annual event on the 26th April.
Tonry said: “I am immensely excited to be leading the DCIF at an exciting moment both for UK DC savers and the DCIF’s evolution. We are looking forward to launching our report on responsible investment at the end of April and helping to empower pension scheme decision-makers to make informed choices on behalf of scheme members. We have an action-packed agenda for the rest of the year and look forward to sharing more details of our research and events pipeline in the weeks ahead.”
Roy added: “DC is at a pivotal moment in the UK, as auto-enrolment matures, and its remit broadens to encompass a wider range of people. I look forward to working as part of the DCIF to ensure that investment is at the top of pension scheme decision-makers’ agendas as they continue to shape the retirements of millions of savers across the UK.”
